FAQ's
The answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.
Who provides the balls?
Both players/teams bring a new can of balls. Either can of balls can be opened. The winner keeps the unopened can.
Is the 3rd set a full set or tie-break?
If tied at 1 set each, the 3rd set will be a 10-point tie-breaker: the 1st player/team to get 10 points with a 2-point margin wins. If all players agree, a full 3rd set can be played. This should be decided before the match starts but, since all players have to agree, it can be decided anytime.
What format is used for tie-breakers in doubles - Regular or Coman?
The tournament will use the standard side-changing tie-break format: switch sides after every 6 points. If all players agree, the USTA Coman format can be used: switch sides after the 1st point and every 4 points thereafter (everyone serves on the side they were serving on during the set). This should be decided before the match starts but, since all players have to agree, it can be decided anytime.
I reported my score but don't see it on the Drawsheet?
Some people are not seeing the latest page updates when viewing the drawsheets. On desktop computers, refreshing your browser (F5 key) should bring up the latest page. On mobile devices it's more involved. On an iPhone you have to go to Settings/Safari and Clear Web Data (which you may not want to do). Otherwise, within a day you should see the updated pages.
